Last night in response to Antelopes Tech request I loaded 32 mono tracks into ProTools 2021.7 instantiated 32 AFX2DAW plugin inserts and loaded them with 32 different t my audio buffers to 32, (24/44.1) hit play and it played perfectly in sync and my CPU never went above 6% my ram held stable at 22%.this is on the BASE model.with an OWC Thunderbolt 14 port plugged in and my 512 NVME USB3 enclosure as a backup drive. I have multiple Thunderbolt devices and they all work, UAD/Antelope and now my older Apogee Symphony with Thunderbridge is compatible.
